Here at SKOPOD our roots are in racing, competing over the last 20 years in a variety of vehicle classes. We have a history of working to make our race vehicles and our toys faster. We believe that when it comes to horsepower, a little is ok, a lot is better, and too much is just right!

Recently we have been playing with the 5th scale HPI Baja and the Goped stand up scooters. Naturally we started looking at options to the standard power plants to enhance the speed and performance of these toys. We started hunting for an engine with more displacement (bigger is better). It needed to be light weight and small in overall size to squeeze into the Baja platform. We decided on the Zenoah G62 model aircraft engine. It is light weight, one of the smallest overall 62cc engines on the market today, has tons of torque, and the power to pull these vehicles to speeds far beyond the capabilities of their standard engines. The unexpected bonus is that these g62.s are so durable that you can abuse them and run them like you stole them, and they just keep going without failure.

We have developed engine conversion packages using the 62 for the gopeds and the Baja.s with two things in mind, ease of installation, and a durable design for long term reliability. Our goal is to blend tough reliable products with eye candy appearance. we all enjoy a little bling.

All of our products are designed, tested, and crafted right here in the United States using only high quality materials suited for this application. After our hand crafted prototypes pass our performance testing, the final revised master prototype is digitized and then the production parts are CNC machined. We will continue to design and offer new innovative products to improve the overall performance of these vehicles.
